I love to teach, to write, to talk, to shoot.

Born in The Netherland, based in Paris and Nijmegen. I'm a writer, photographer, and researcher/teacher at Université Paris Diderot and Radboud University.

My photographic work is represented by De Beeldunie

I'm Paris correspondent for HP/De Tijd and regular contributor to Aperture, Katholiek Nieuwsblad, and Rekto Verso.

I hold a Ph.D is on contemporary war photography from Université Paris Diderot; I teach a variety of courses including the history of war photography, American literature, TV series, creative writing, and translation. For more on my academic work, see below.

I use a Sony A7III and Sony A7II, with a 35mm f2.8 Carl Zeiss, a 55 f1.8 Carl Zeiss, and a 70-200 Sony Lens.

I also use a Polaroid OneStep2, Polaroid i1 from the Impossible Project, as well as a Polaroid 600 and a SX-70.
